My wife and I loved the ride and scenery.. In October it must be great with the leaves changing !!

I really enjoyed the river ride down Mississippi River. It was the most peaceful experience I ever had. The steam boat has tables and chairs so you feel like in and informal restaurant/boat. They sell chips and soda in the boat. But also a hot dog roll. Which is really good. The ride last 2 hours and it has a value of 25 (Summer 2016) I can only say the experience is priceless. Definitely a plan to enjoy with your whole family or friends. The rides are very sharp with time. Also I enjoyed the tour guidance along the ride. You MUST go in the Spirit of Dubuque!

My elderly mother booked a cruise for the extended family. She inadvertently purchases two less tickets than we needed. The office and boat staff found a way to accommodate our entire group and find us seats together. Our entire family appreciate the effort and enjoyed the dinner cruise. Kudos to Dubuque River Rides. Great customer service.

Very nice cruise! We took the 1 1/2 hour cruise at 3:00pm with a price of 24/ticket. It was well narrated by the captain and we were able to see many sights including 3 bald eagles 2 of which the captain pointed out before we saw them. The boat was clean and well-equipped too.

The review 'Hated' is a little harsh. Very Disappointed would be more like it! We spent months planning a dinner cruise with 2 other couples that we had not seen in a long time. We found the perfect date to fit our schedule, made and paid for the reservation, made hotel reservations only to have the dinner cruise cancelled, because they would not make enough money (not enough people). In previous reviews, one commented on how they were stuffed in like sardines. I'm sure they made plenty on that cruise to handle our first (and last) cruise. Poor management decision! Sincerely, Very Disappointed! (Gary D.)

Went on the daytime sightseeing cruise. Very disappointed!! For 25/per person, we expected some more history & information about the area. We go on river rides in all states we travel in & this was by far the worst ever. The narrator was very monotonous & dronelike & it was impossible to stay interested. Way overpriced!! Average pricing elsewhere has been 15/per & with excellent commentary.

We took a family outing to dbq, and did the lunch ride. It was fun, But i would advise that's it's not for small children. My daughter is just over 2, she loved to be on the boat and see the river, but 2 1/2 hours seemed a litle long. Also, I would have enjoyed it more if the tour guide wasn't so bored sounding and monotone. The Deli lunch was okay, but nothing worth mentioning. The ride was 35 ea with lunch(children under 3 free) and 27.50 without, so for that you might as well just get the lunch. I would recommend doing it if you're going to be in the area, but don't make a special trip for it.
