So I go and buy a bag of deer treat, and a bag of cracked corn, and a bag of nyjer seed. I mix corn and deer treat and put it out, but the deer won't eat it. So i do a test, separate piles of treat and corn. I sat and watched as they ate the corn, and turned up their noses at the treat. So I take the treat back, tell them the story and ask if there is anything they can do for me. Girl at the counter gets the owner, and he says "I can't do anything with this, it's half gone". I'm thinking, to myself, well, there's nothing I can do with it either, the deer won't eat it. I've paid for a product that I can't use. I again inquire, can we do like in store credit or something, I'll buy something else from you. I'm not a freeloader, I don't expect something for nothing. I'm not trying to take advantage of you or anything. Again, he tells me, in a pretty curt way, "I can't do anything with this, there's nothing I can do". I think when you own a business, there are times when good customer relations go a long way, even if it means absorbing the cost of a bag of deer treat. So I take the bag, and say, sorry to hear that, I guess I'll go to Dan's from now on. He makes a snide remark about Dan's as I head out the door. Needless to say, because of the attitude, and what I consider to be a fairly rude interaction, I'm pretty sure I won't be back.
