Good for kids
Absolutely wonderful! Even if we only stop for just a few minutes, it's great to get some fresh air & watch all the deer, geese & other critters. Overwhelmingly peaceful. We did notice some smashed glass & blunt wrappers in the parking area a couple of weeks ago. Other than this, WLO is definitely one our more favorite social distancing spots. Thank you for providing this beautiful area for nature lovers to enjoy!

Just a little hidden gem in Winnebago County! Now that I know it is there I will try to go back at least once a week!
Usually see dozens of deer roaming about. I have seen some of them swim out to the little island. Once the deer were actually prancing!! Incredible sight.
Very small parking area, no notice of the location, chance of seeing animals if they are up by fence
