This has been the best experience I have ever had in an hospital. My nurses Cassie, Teresa, and Aline on the 9th floor are the best. The food is great also. I will never go to any other hospital if I can come here. Wow what a great experience.

I had a very stressful experience just trying to find parking for an outpatient appointment. You have to pay between 9-12 to have your car parked otherwise it will take you hours to find parking and you miss your appointment (what about folks with low socioeconomic needs who aren't privileged?). Once you get into the main clinic the signs and layout to find the departments is not intuitive or user friendly. You have to walk so much so I feel terrible for folks who have disabilities to have to go through that confusion. I'm giving it 2 stars only because the doctors and hospital personnel are amazing! They aren't snooty at all which is great given my above concerns about the administrative and layout ambiance. I have found UNC and Wake Forest Baptist Hospital to be way more accessible and user friendly.

I had both of my kids here and this lady in Birthing Center is awesome! Her name is Agnes and shes sweet and friendly and helped me in everything that I need. She was my nurse with both of my kids and she goes above and beyond to show that she care. Also this lady in post partum name Marybeth shes another awesome nurse! Shes my nurse when I had my second child and shes another one that I am so grateful to have! I love this 2 ladies and they are one of the workers that does their job with a HEART.

I have been going to Duke since I was a child going on 30 years now. I had an aortic dissection in my early twenties and was flown to Duke with only a 20% chance to live. I also had my heart transplant here, along with a full aortic graft. Dr. Hughes, Dr. Milano, Dr. DeVore, ALL the transplant doctors and their teams of nurses have always been top professionals. The bed side manner of the doctors has always been amazing. I wouldn't go to any other hospital over DUMC. GO BLUE DEVILS.

Duke University Hospital is one of the top medical centers in the world. Know for it’s cancer research, cardiac programs, birthing center, Children’s hospital, just to name a few specialties. A teaching hospital, medical students get top notch training and experience. My primary care physician is at Duke Family practice. I also go to the Lupus Clinic and always received excellent, professional & caring health care. Actually had my daughter with high risk pregnancy there, 18 yrs ago. Parking deck bit steep at 2 an hour and only option you have. Hospital has many public restrooms, gender neutral and wheelchair accessible. Free Wi Fi, Starbucks coffee in several locations, cafeteria, vending machines, gift shop, admissions desk and valet parking. Although the emergency room there is ridiculous with the wait times, always crowded. I’ve waited more than 12 hours just to be seen!! Then another 8 plus hours to have work up and to be discharged. I never go there because it’s a awful experience. They are a trauma center so the sicker are seen first, my 2 day old migraine can wait...
