One of my favorite restaurants! Food is divine. Generous portions and gourmet salads and sandwiches.

By far the best place the get breakfast in Durham. I have eaten here many times and every single time I am taken away by the flavors. I just need to venture out and try lunch food rather than just breakfast. Cannot recommend this place enough for a relaxing dinning experience, and if that’s not enough they also have old candies and baking products.

Was in Durham for a Friend's Mother's Funeral. I found this place on Trip Advisor and so glad I did. Great homemade food at a fair price. Great baked goods, soups, and homemade casseroles. If in Durham you simply must go here. You won't be disappointed! Highly recommend.

This place is one of my favorites. It’s a one of a kind place and typical of what you might expect in Durham. When you walk in the place for the first time the appearance is a little deceiving. You’ll see old banged up furniture inside and out and just a bit of disorder. But the food is delicious and consistently high quality and fresh. For an idea of the kind of place it is, there used to be an old table on the porch with a drawer. My wife and I would have lunch at that table now and then and one day for no particular reason, we opened the drawer. Inside we found handwritten notes written by patrons going back several years. Some on slips of paper, others on napkins. Many of them were very nice personal notes about their impression of Fosters and sometimes a bit about themselves. We must have spent hours over several visits reading those notes. I always remember them when we have a chance to stop in for a meal.

A wonderful place to eat outside. Top notch baked goods and stellar pepper jelly.
