The Melting Pot is so difficult to evaluate. It's unlike any other restaurant. Dining is an experience and the atmosphere is one of a kind. The prices are astronomical. Ultimately, it's a great place to eat once in a while to celebrate an anniversary, promotion, birthday, or special occasion. It's not the kind of place you go to just check it out because you're looking for someplace new to try. There's nowhere else quite like it, so save your money for a special date, bring your bankroll, and enjoy.

Gimmicky chain that does not have good enough food to justify the price. I'll start with the positives. The ambiance of the small booths is nice, and the general setting of the restaurant is pleasant inside. Our waitress was incredibly nice. The cheese and chocolate fondue courses were tasty, but didn't offer anything above how good straight melted cheese and chocolate can be. Now for the cons. It's expensive, 100 for a multi-course meal for two. For that price, everything should be delicious. The cheese fondue was good. The salads were bad, like something you'd expect McDonald's to throw together. The main course was terrible as far as flavor and texture goes (though what else can you expect from boiled meat, I'd opt for the grilling option if I had to choose again). I'd say that many of the provided dipper options did not go well with the courses. The chocolate fondue course was good. It's hard to recommend this place unless you really like the gimmicky aspect of dipping your food in things. If you do go, just get the cheese or chocolate courses, definitely don't get the full 4 course meal.
Friendly and great service, it's not often to find a place where the waiters are not only attentive but at the same time are not in your face the whole meal. I personally had a great time and even though we finished our meal after closing time no one rushed us. 10/10
My husband and I dined at this restaurant this past Saturday for Valentine’s Day. We had the most amazing experience. From the greet when we walked in all the way to the end, it was marvelous. Our waiter Olivia was the best and went above and beyond. She did tell us that she actually is based out of the Raleigh location so if you ever at that location, ask for her. The food was so good especially the lobster. My husband and I will be coming back again to dine and I have also spread the word of how good this place is to my family and friends.
Me and my girl had a great experience here! Very fun and interesting concept, was her first time and my second but hadn’t been in 5 or more years. Originally they wanted to seat us at a high top, but the hostess was very kind and accommodating and found a way to get us in a booth. That was much appreciated and does not go unnoticed, so I really appreciate her making that happen. Our waiter Jeffrey was outstanding. Made sure the drinks were always full and gave us a great show as everything came out. Also he was very knowledgeable of the menu and made great recommendations. Be prepared to spend some wampum if you go here, but in my opinion it’s perfect for a special occasion like a valentines date. If I had any complaint it was just that the entree took a considerable amount of time to come out, but that’s no fault of our waiter and wouldn’t discourage me from going again. Highly recommend the flaming turtle for desert! Thanks to all the staff, you guys do a great job.
Amazing place for a date or to spend quality time with family and friends! Great service! The food was absolutely delicious! We ordered four course meal. It includes: 1. a salad; 2. vegetables and breads to dip in melted cheese of your choice; 3. four different types of meat to cook in wine of your choice; 4. fruits and sweet snacks to dip in chocolate mix of your choice. The meal consists of many different items, so every other minute you are trying some new flavor which was a very interesting experience! The portions are not big. Usually people spend at least a couple of hours in this type of restaurants because of the way food is cooked. I would definitely recommend this place!! It is pricey though.
Although it is fun to eat fondue out on a date, this place is overpriced and fondue is good but not amazing. Our bill came to 375 for 4 of us. We had one bottle of wine (45). 435 after tip. We brought our 2 college students as a little Valentine’s Day experience. I should have found the best Steakhouse instead. The meal took 2 1/2 hours. If you are going for a long romantic, special occasion meal with your significant other, it might be a good choice but I think we are done with fondue. Part of the problem is that they made us choose off of a Valentines Day menu with a fixed price. The restaurant itself is not really all that interesting. It is in a strip mall and although clean, it could easily have served Denny’s for breakfast. It was a memorable meal but could have been a much much better experience for that price and duration.
Went here on valentines day. My waiter was named Alfred and he was great and was very accommodating. He was super busy but still was able to do a fantastic job. Thank you
