We purchased our gas fireplace from Fireside Hearth and Home more than 7 years ago. We use it several hours each day during the winter months and it's our main source of heat for our main level. We just had it serviced by Jeremy for a routine cleaning of the gas jets. We couldn't have been happier with the service Jeremy provided. He was so professional and courteous. My wife and I highly recommend Fireplace Hearth and Home!

First let me say we love our fireplace and it’s working beautifully, but the removal/installation was a terrible experience. My entire first floor was covered in soot. It would have been nice if someone would have for-warned us so we could have covered the furniture and put tarps down. I emailed my contact person after to let her know what happened and never got a response.

Poor quality if you use a direct vent fireplace by Heat N Glo. After our old Heat & Glo fireplace was having problems (it was 22 years old and still worked but the firebox showing some rust) we decided to replace and update with the same model and size. An easy remove and install from outside. All worked fine. Now after only 2 winters of use our NEW firebox is already showing damage and rust to its appearance. After correspondence with Fireside it turns our it is our problem not theirs. We have the disadvantage of living in Minnesota with high humidity and using a direct vent, which from their response and that of the agent at Heat & Glo direct, is the reason for the problem. Since this is the standard reply and a known problem, WHY is it not made known to all customers with direct vent install. But there is a solution. Spend more money to fix it. Yes 3 levels of service. Ultra-total look over including repainting-269 or just repainting- 149 or DIY buy their paint from them for 24 - all plus tax. If their first paint job didn't last, why would I think this paint is any different. WHAT happened from 1996 (when our old unit was installed) to 2018 (new unit installed) to quality control and reliability. I will still give it a 2 star because it does work good.
