Beautiful in autumn!

Well maintained trails and well marked routes were a welcome find on this Audubon property. Some hidden unique art and interesting history are a treat for those on the lookout for such things. Trails loop around the pond and are fairly easy.

Grassy Pond is so high right now due to the amount of rainfall we've had! This is a nature reserve where fallen trees are allowed to decay naturally, unless they obstruct a trail. Beautiful holly trees in large numbers because it was a place where hollies were actively propagated in the past. Good amount of trail walking there, too, for exercise. NO PETS, because it's a nature reserve.

Can't wait to go back when things start to bloom. Lovely little walks / trails!

It was cold, but very informative. I will probably go again when the weather is warmer. Maybe I will see the elusive otter!
