Beautiful view of the Peconic. Drove around the campground area to see if it was our type of place. Seemed a bit run down, but it is also January and not camping season, so that was kept in mind with the stars. If we return to camp, will definitely update. But seems like a nice, big, almost forgotten county park.

Easily one of my most favorite parks on the east end. Incredible views great facilities. Top notch.

Huge camping grounds. Water access on each site. Bathrooms and showers are clean. Overall I would give the facility 5 stars. The beach, meh. It’s good for kayaking and SUP if there is no wind, otherwise you need to drive to another beach in the area.

Open to Suffolk county residents only. Long walk along shore to decommissioned lighthouse. Calm beach, clean restrooms, picnic tables. Camping available.

I've been here a few times over many years and I still enjoy camping but the place has declined. This past weekend (late June) the campground was practically empty compared to years ago when we could hardly find a spot. As a result, the store had been closed for a few years, no more movies outside, no more canoe rentals on the beach. Still a beautiful, peaceful place though.
