I am a mortgage lender who specializes in construction loans. I have many great relationships with builders and construction companies throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island and CT Valley Homes is one of the best that I have the privilege to work with. They bring the knowledge, resources and temperament that are required for a successful home construction project. When my clients work with CT Valley Homes I know that my reputation as a lender is not at risk. They deliver a quality product with the detail and integrity that makes for a very satisfied client. We shopped quite a while for a builder before choosing CT Valley Homes. We spoke with homeowners and builders alike regarding time frames, coordination of services, and quality of materials used. We chose CT Valley Modular because of the soundness of the structure, the ease of finding the right style and floor plan, and the huge variety of exterior and interior materials and hardware. We chose our home design in the fall and the following March the building showed up in four units. The units were mated up in a day, with sheet rock, most doors, all windows, and trim in place, along with our new quartz counters and solid beech cabinets. The raw exposed swaths where the units mated were later sheet rocked and are now invisible. Stairs to the attic and basement were also added and sheet rocked. The teams that worked on the various parts of the house dealt with COVID safety and inclement weather with smiles and laughs. The quality of the work was outstanding and clean. The final poly coat on the floor was dry when we arrived in June. Scott Anderson from CTV Homes and Todd Reynolds of Jenn-Lee Excavation made the impossible happen. Scott helped us with design (good Lord the man is patient!) and placement. Todd, well, Todd gave us exactly what we asked for: a raised elevation to preserve our ocean view, a walk-in front door, and a walk out basement garage in the back, by building the most stunning boulder walls around the property. The walk-through attic is a huge bonus Scott helped us make. Would I do this again? In a heartbeat. We love our new home, and we love the help we got from Amanda and Scott Anderson, Bob, Harry, Aaron, Jesse, Charlie, Brian, and the other people who made this wonderful retreat happen. Thank you all, and thank you CT Valley Homes!
We have been working for Connecticut Valley Homes as HVAC subcontractors for more than 15 years. I can say to all current and future clients that their team is the most professional and honest group of people that I deal with. All aspects of the HVAC systems are thoughtfully considered and layed out well before the construction begins.
It’s easy to see why Connecticut Valley Modular Homes is one of the leading home builders in Connecticut. The design team is friendly, knowledgeable, and accessible. A state-of-the-art design center features numerous displays of materials such as Cambria quartz, Kohler faucets, and a stunning selection of tiles. A functional window display makes it easy for clients to explore differences between windows in order to find the one that is just right for their project. Their experienced staff guides clients throughout the decision-making process so that the experience is enjoyable and collaborative. CT Valley Modular homes is one stop shopping at its finest!
Would I do it again. Probably not. Didn't have the best experience. On the plus side I was able to move in on time. There were safety issues. Had a receptacle come out of the wall. Had a receptacle arcing in the wall. Had shelving that were not properly secured and pulled off the wall. Had multiple plumbing issues that have resulted in mold. Had to have carpet pulled up because the subflooring was not properly secured at an access point. The house may go up fast but I have paid for it with many frustrating conversations with Connecticut Valley and many months of work after the house was complete. If you need a home built and want to know what to expect email me at [email protected] I will share my experience. I did not have the opportunity to work with Mr. Cooper, however I do not share the same enthusiasm as portrayed in the YouTube videos. Based on my experience someone other than Connecticut Valley Home did some extensive finish work for most of these homes. In Mr. Coopers latest video he talks about how all the trim and sheet rock is up. However, having all that nice finish done before all the rough construction is complete leaves your new trim and walls exposed. Most likely it will be banged up during the set and while sheetrock is being put up onsite at the marriages. Sheetrock dust will really scratch up corian counter tops that are already installed. Also, that two foot section of sheetrock at the marriage may never look right.
