The Eastern Turkistan National Awakening Movement is an international youth-led organization seeking to restore the independence of Eastern Turkistan. We promote and protect the fundamental rights, freedoms, and national interest of the Uyghur nation and all people of Eastern Turkistan, both within Eastern Turkistan and abroad. Our main goal is to establish unity, democratic values, and compassion among our nation so we can restore our state of Eastern Turkistan using all means necessary in accordance with international laws. From its very inception ETNAM emerged as an active force with clear aims and objectives. It also served as a catalyst to bring out certain reforms and changes within the Eastern Turkistan / Uyghur community so as to enhance the development of truly democratic society. ETNAM therefore, sees itself as an instrument. Being a national movement, activities of ETNAM is not restricted just to its members, as it also receives the active support of all Eastern Turkistanis (Uyghurs, Kazakhs, Kyrgyz, Uzbeks, and Tatars) – young and old, men and women, intellectuals, businessowners , religious scholars and lay.
