I went to East Texas Tractor & Power Sports to have my chainsaw serviced. They are conveniently located and so, without any recommendation, I figured I would give them a try. I dropped my chainsaw off around the fifteenth of March. I showed them the problem and the service man said that they would have to order the part, but when it was in, the job was a quick fix. Over a week goes by and I hear nothing. I call to check and they say they didn't get the part yet. Another week or so goes by and I hear nothing so, I eventually call and they tell me the part is on back order. Another week or so goes by and I call to check and they tell me the wrong part had been sent and that when the part is shipped it would be a fifteen minute fix. Over a week goes by and I hear nothing from East Texas Tractor & Power Sports. When over a month had passed since I first dropped my chainsaw off I decided to go in and get my chainsaw back whether it was done or not. SURPRISE! It was done! Wow! What a coincidence....thanks for the call! The serviceman then gives me a bill for 150, 98 of which is for time. For 150 I would have just bought a new chainsaw! You think they would call to inform me about any aspect of what was going on with my chainsaw especially a bill that is going to be about half the cost of the same chainsaw new. If this is the typical way they treat their customers, then I will take my business elsewhere.
