I have been living here for 1.5 years! The location of these apartments are perfect close enough to stores but still secluded enough for privacy. The appointments them selves are very eye pleasing on the outside as well as the inside, the property's management is attentive to any concerns I have had and everyone makes me feel at home in my house.

We have been here for almost 2 years and have been very happy with the location, leasing office/staff, maintenance and community here! Office staff have been very helpful with all of our questions and have helped accommodate us here in several ways. Maintenance and landscaping staff do a wonderful job with anything we need. We love our apartment and its \waterfront\ location and joke that it would be absolutely perfect if we could just build a second bedroom off the side Thank you Edgewater for making this home!

A landlord can deduct from the tenant’s security deposit: The cost of fixing any damages to the property caused by the tenant or the tenant’s guests. This does not include ordinary wear and tear. The cost of cleaning the unit when the tenant moves out, but only to make the unit as clean as it was when the tenant first moved in (less reasonable wear and tear). Unpaid rent (including rent owed if the tenant does not give the landlord the proper notice that he or she is moving out). But apparently edgewater apartments in Bakersfield want to suck in every dime from the tenants...

We had a great experience with management at Edgewater my brother is looking to move out here to bakersfield and we looked for a while but they where the only ones who had all the qualities we where looking for in a great price. The manager gave us a whole tour of the property took time to answer all our questions. Thank you.

Things to be taken under advisement when considering these apartments. No matter the quality of tenants you may be the landlord will take advantage of any minimal reason to scam you of your security deposit. During these times we tried to keep our apartment in the optimal conditions to get the deposit and avoid any ISSUES. Specially, since the security deposit is such a large quantity. The changes upgrades are definitely sketch, the apartments are not as advertised. There is a bug problem that multiple tenants have complained about. Not to mention that the location has not been improved, no sense of security, Robberies going on all the time, even when it is said to be \calm\ and ice\. It's difficult to work because there is no way to get good internet, management refuses to upgrade what is necessary to work with internet provider. Specially, when it's definitely needed, since so many people are working from home. Not too mention hidden fees, living here is too costly, definitely not worth it.
