We interviewed 8 local companies and are so glad we chose First rate From customer service to clean up they went beyond the local roofers, who seem to have dominated Montclair. Sometimes it’s better to look beyond the neighborhood signs...... They showed up ( on time) worked all day with the same crew, not a pick up crew, left our home in better condition than it was before and most astonishing they return all emails texts and calls. Customer service has been outstanding I am so glad our friends recommended them. BTW - Our neighbors were impressed! Thanks to Tony,Tim and Rene plus the crew

First Rate 1 Construction definitely lived up to their name. I called for an estimate and they arrived promptly and punctually the next day. Tony was responsive to my inquiries and was friendly and quickly assuaged my concerns about the job. He treated us like family and as if we were old friends. The estimate was fair and accurate as he had correctly assessed the work of replacing the existing roof, plywood ,fascia, and gutters as well providing an exact estimate that was the same at the end of the job as the beginning. They worked quickly, efficiently and cleanly. Jimmy and Renee were extremely knowledgeable, friendly and skillful and were responsive to my questions and concerns. Tony headed a large and experienced crew that worked quickly and carefully. I was amazed at how fast the job was completed as well as the quality and value for the price. They are definitely people that care more about satisfying customers and doing great work than just getting paid. I would most definitely use them again and have already recommended them to friends and family. I am so happy about the job they did knowing I no longer have to worry about my roof.

From start to finish Tony was hands on inspecting and supervising his work being done. Our roof was in need of full replacement and First Rate did a fantastic job. Tony was very thorough explaining the entire process and was here assuring the job was done correctly. He installed full new plywood roof and shingles. The result is fantastic and the crew did a great job, quick and efficient.All the clean up was done as well. I would highly recommend using First Rate 1 Construction Company!

Came out for estimate for a repair, and very generous with time, and information. Did not try to sell, in fact quite the opposite. (E.g. offered that my repair effort did prior day probably worked, but offered tip on covering the nails). Discussed perhaps whole new roof in few years, but they offered my roof looked good and pending installation may in fact last many years. Gave suggestions about some wet fascia boards in different area of house over garage. So speaks loudly for honesty I believe, and very generous with time. Was very nice and seemed to care.

I engaged this company for my home gutter replacement. Gave me reasonable and affordable quote price compared to 3 other contractors. Tim was always on time right from taking survey/measurements of the job to be done up to the actual performance of the job. His work crew are courteous and experienced, they know what they are doing. I am very satisfied with the work performed. I will recommend this company for a job well done!
