I would NOT recommend H & A for novice knitters. I went in requesting help to make a chunky hat. I showed them a pic, and they found a pattern which I loved and purchased. They also helped me choose the yarn and knitting needles I needed. After several attempts at knitting the hat, it was very clear something was off - so I went back in to ask for help. I had everything with me that I'd previously purchased with the packaging and the receipt in the original bag, and after some back and forth about what could be wrong, I was told I didn't have the right yarn. When I explained THEY picked out the yarn and the knitting needles I needed for the project, the woman didn't appear to believe me - though she offered to sell me a different pattern - which I wasn't interested in. So, after spending over 50.00 to make a hat, now I'm stuck. At the very least, I would have expected them to cheerfully find the yarn and needles that would work, and return the others - I would have happily paid for the difference at that point. But all I got was, \I'm sorry.\ Very disappointing, and I won't return.

My Mom had to have a procedure done at the hospital and I found this cozy shop! The owners were super friendly and helpful. I could have stayed there all day! The yarn I bought was yummy! Mom has to go back today for another procedure and I get to go back to the yarn shop! I can't wait!!

My new favorite yarn shop! I like yarn at lots of yarn shops but I LOVE the yarn here. For a smaller shop they have GREAT selection including some of the gold standards (ie. Malabrigo) with some that are hand-dyed independent artists. Staff are very friendly and helpful in a genuine and not irritating way.
