We love Shoreline Academy of Music & Dance! The teachers are great, and everyone is always so welcoming. Our eight year old is in her third year of lessons there, and the inclusiveness of the community has been fabulous. As a parent I love that they view music and dance as for anyone - and work to foster a true love of the arts. We’ve also been so happy with how they’ve handled the transitions between in person and online and their health and safety measures are very reassuring. We’ll be keeping our daughter her as long as she wants to keep dancing! 15/10 - highly recommend!

I fully recommend Shoreline Academy of Music and Dance! My 2 daughters have been attending their Ballard location for 7 years- music and dance classes; my husband takes private music lessons. The staff is friendly & attentive and there are many classes with convenient times- their online scheduling is easy and they have an app to send notifications of important announcements in addition to email updates. The music teachers & dancers all have a minimum of bachelors degree, you're not going to end up with a musician who can't teach your child how to read music. They take care to hire teachers who do well with kids and adults. They have a deep reserve of back up teachers in case any teacher gets sick, so you almost never have to reschedule. The year end dance recital is one of the highlights of my year, they put in a lot of effort to make it as professional a dance experience as possible for the students, and I love seeing so many classes perform to different choreography, the teachers put a lot of effort into the theme of the show and keep it varied. The younger dancers melt my heart. I toured the Shoreline location for the open house in October- lots of dance space with professional flooring for dancers, new sound proof music rooms, lots of light, plenty of parking. Bonus- the Shoreline location has the Maker Lab in the building- super fun place to take your child to do hands on crafts- 3D printing, carpentry, circuit building- just think anything hands on science and tech for all ages. My daughter did some laser etching at the open house. Fun location!

My 13 year old daughter started taking ukulele lessons here this year, and she absolutely loves it. She is motivated to practice daily *without* my reminding her, and her playing has improved dramatically. She's also taken up guitar at the encouragement of her teacher, and is enjoying that as well. The teacher is great and the staff is always friendly and helpful.

Our 3yo daughter has been going here since the Shoreline location opened. Not only has she really enjoyed her classes (Miss Heather is phenomenal and had the patience of a saint!) but we've watched as our wild child has developed a much better ability to listen and focus. Plus, there is kind of nothing better than watching your kid dancing on stage!
