Superb singing and performances by the Motown sound group lead by songstress Ms. Shanee Dawkins and others. Her group song Ms. Diane Ross , Ms.Mary Wilson and Ms.Florence Ballad ( The Mighty Supremes). Please return this awesome group back to the Big City of Chicago, Illinois. 5 stars.

Passionate staff, historical architecture, and unique movie lineups! Love the new expansion and bathrooms. The local wines at the bar are nice. Had a great evening here!

The Egyptian Theater is a great venue. I've attended events here for decades and I'm always in awe of the decor. The decorative theater adds to whatever event they host, whether it's a movie or live performance. It's fun to go to a place with real history and character. I particularly enjoy the comedy shows, from headlining comedians to comedy troupes. The prices for the shows are always less than the same shows at other venues. Second City, for example, usually performs every year. They put on great shows, and you'll never be able to attend a Second City show for less. Cheaper by 20 per ticket or more than at most venues around the state. With the upgrades happening to the Egyptian, it's going to be an even better place for events. Highly recommended.

Fantastic historic structure. There is currently a non-profit group that is working to restore the theatre and they've doing great work. Built in 1929, it's worth a look. Not open in the summer but if you contact them you might get a tour.
