This credit union gave me a savings account that I have had for many years now. They allowed me to keep it with only a 5.00 balance in it for years. There was a time when I did not have an extra dollar to save, and this account was my only means of cashing my occasional check. They helped me through the worst financial period of my life. Great people work here. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed. As far as the complaints about the phone service? You must be joking. When there is no one available to answer the phone, I always get a call back, promptly, when I leave them my name and number. Perhaps you guys are not patient, or don't speak clearly or leave wrong numbers? Never, and I mean never, have I not been able to accomplish what I need to get done at FICU. They have helped me many times when I wasn't even sure they could help, until I called and asked them. They go the extra mile to help their members.

I have had an account here since I was 4 years old and I am way past 65. I have never had a bad experience with them. It would be helpful if the website had a list of extensions for the services offered as it's hard to enter an extension if we don't know what it is. That would necessitate previous contact with the person to whom you need to speak and that is not always the case. I will never switch banks unless I move out of El Centro.

We have been trying to call for both making a car payment as well as calling for online banking customer service. It took us hours (calling at different times) to get ahold of someone to help. When we asked what was the best time to talk to someone, the representative told us just to try until we got lucky. It's understandable that they are short staffed but there is no reason to be rude to their customers.

Customer service over the phone is non-existent. 9/10 they don't answer and when they do its a long hold time. They need a dedicated rep for phones. Since all branches numbers were removed online, this is now more important than ever. Fix your phones. I don't wanna hear an apology.
