I had been all over Houston to try and get help with my smaller 1hp motor and no one would give me the time of day, but John did and I AM SO GRATEFUL! Even though they work primarily on large pump motors, he still took the time to help diagnose mine and explained to me what was being and checked and so forth because I honestly had tried to fix it myself and was unsuccessful! Long story short he fixed it for me and saved the day and I WILL recommend this family owned shop and the people who run it! I will also Be back in the future with anything else because I know I can trust they will tell me the truth and that is not an easy thing to find these days in people! -Courtney

I've always had nothing but great work come from this place. Would have to say, weather you need a new motor or want your's rebuild a new motor is a new motor but their rebuilt motors in my opinion are built better then motor when it came from the factory and they have always bench tested better as well. I still have yet to receive any motor with any problems from this establishment and have always had great prompt service from them as well.

John at EMI is a nice enough guy but talk can be cheap. We had a dc motor rebuilt by them and they did a good job of turning it around in time. It is a motor for an elevator so time was of the essence. However, when we re-installed the motor, it instantly arced across the commutator. John said he would help with the issue via text and phone but I received late, or no, responses from him most of the time. I decided to call another motor rebuild company and they came out instantly, did some quick testing and immediately figured out what the issue was and sorted it in 30 minutes. A lot of this is over my head but the brush holder was not installed correctly and had to be rotated. Perhaps EMI does not test the motors once rebuilt (although I was told it was) or perhaps their testing is significantly insufficient. Either way, there are other motor rebuilders out there that not only know their stuff but will also pick up and return your motor, do thorough testing and will even visit your site if there are issues.
