Literally the rudest people I have ever met in my entire life. Ruined our packaging and then forced us to pay for more. Laughed at us for not having enough money to pay the first time we came. Heard them laugh at other customers as well. This place needs new employees or could just be shut down and the world would be a better place.

This is probably not the Post Office fault but in the Winter the handicapped parking spots should be the 1st ones ploughed not the last ones. They were literally the only ones in the parking lot with snow and ice still in them and I mean completely filling the entire spot. Every single handicapped spot.

I know the reviews of this post office are hit and miss, but I swear, if you have ever dealt with ANY post office in Chicago, you can't appreciate how fabulous these people are. They are friendly, polite, they know their jobs and they are always helpful. I've lived in Elgin since 2005 and I've never had a bad experience at this post office. Yes, sometimes the lines move a bit slow, but perhaps that's because they are being helpful to every single customer. I lived in Chicago for most of my life and my experience with ANY post office in Chicago is they are angry, annoyed, don't like their jobs and don't want to be bothered with anything. This location in Elgin is the complete opposite of that at all times. The best part is whenever I send anything via Priority Mail regardless if it's local or to the west coast, it gets there in record time! Thank you Elgin West Side Post Office! You ARE appreciated!

I was amazed by the service of this postal office! I was there on the 14 of August and there was a young man and a girl and they were polite, helpful and the young man was with a big smile, I am glad to see changes in the postal office because there some postal offices around here were the employees are so rude. Good job
