This office provided excellent service and ample parking. The waiting time for me was just over an hour when I was there to complete my Medicare benefits application on 1/3/2020. Matt, the staff who worked on my case was very professional and helpful, and the security staff was friendly too. Overall, my experience visiting this office was positive.

Highly recommend this location for great service and staff! Had to get a replacement card so younger soon can get his learners permit. With my older son we went to the Bloomingdale location so I was dreading doing it again because that experience was terrible. Staff was not helpful and they were rude.At this Elgin location it was a totally different experience staff was very friendly and took the time to really help

My wife and I visited this location Aug 2, 2019 in order to obtain replacement SS ID cards. We almost left when we saw the number of people in the waiting area. We stayed and were impressed by how fast the process went. Our interview was pleasant and our applications for new cards were processed quickly. We then headed home having spent less than 30 minutes in the Elgin SS office. Thank You!

I WILL be speaking to a supervisor. The negligence of information and lack of adhering to time frames are despicable. I was approved for my SS benefits on June 5 2019. I went into the office yesterday and NOTHING was done. My account was waiting to be pressed thru payment center. My file was LOST from December 2018 until March 3rd 2019 (sitting next to a printer). This is NOT UNCOMMON for this field location. Actions are being made to move my account from this office to Bloomingdale. They get away with this because no one demands proper customer service from the representatives and the supervisors. Side note if it's something simple they do a good job. SS card replacements and direct deposits they can do but you can do that online yourself. Wishing you Good luck.
