On the day after Thanksgiving I had a Ejector Pump fail and my basement started flooding. Even though this was a vacation for most people I was shocked by how quickly Chicago Water and Fire arrived to my home. 30 Minutes from the time I called, that's blazing fast. I know they reside in my area in Elmhurst and that the distance definitely helped them get to my home sooner but seriously their response time needs to be acknowledged and commended. They immediately go to work when they arrived to try to minimize the damage and water from spreading to the rest of the basement. As you can see below I included plenty of pictures of the damage showing the before and after of the situation. The 2 techs (Blake and his assistant) that arrived on site where very professional, knowledgeable and hard workers. It might not look like much but they spent a full 5 hours at my home for this job. Let me remind you that this was all on Thanksgiving Eve. This job involved containing the water to minimize the damage, deep cleanup of the carpets with proper disinfectants. Removal of the base boards, dirty carpet padding and also properly setting up their high end equipment to leave for 2 days; which is used to remove absolutely every water molecule left from this incident. I highly recommend Chicago Water and Fire Restoration, not only did they do fantastic job but they provided me with all the information, measurements, 3d modeling of my basement to give to my insurance company for full repair and coverage of the damage. Following a death in our family, Chicago Water and Fire Restoration came to the deceased person's apartment to clean and sanitize the room where he passed away. It was a stressful time, especially because of COVID protocols. Their team was incredibly responsive and compassionate, and made it easy to coordinate access to the apartment. They offered to come within 15 minutes of our call to them. It was more expensive than we'd anticipated but they were clear about the cost beforehand and we are grateful to the crew for their work. I hope we don't need this service again, but we absolutely would recommend them to anyone in similar situation
Had a pipe freeze and break in my office building and arrived to a flood. So happy I found these guys, Ryan was awesome! Extremely responsive and they handled everything. Impressed at how quickly they cleaned and dried out the entire place so I didn’t have to worry about it. Highly recommend
Working with Chicago Water & Fire Restoration was a great experience!! They handled water mitigation and repair to our basement and did an EXCELLENT job! Zac, Travis and their crews went above and beyond, handling each step with the utmost professionalism and cleanliness. If anything extra was needed to be done it was done without an issue. The final restoration was done perfectly. If the need to use their services was to happen again, I would call them without hesitation. I will definitely refer CW&FR to every and anyone. They caused damage moving laundry machines around and knocked holes in door trim and doors. They left doors scratched and dirty with blood, dirt, glue and finger prints. They grouted two scratches in floor, one 16 in long. They left glue on water heater and laundry machine. They didn't reconnect laundry machines properly and caused NEW DAMAGE. Water soaked a wall and ran down under laundry machines. They didn't wear masks despite multiple requests. They are also liars. The manager told us the job would take one day and the crew showed us they were booked for two on their employee schedule. Wish I could show the video of spouting water from laundry machine lines. You'll have to heavily babysit people, be prepared for new things to be damaged, call yourself to check on insurance, and plan to be off work twice the time they say. An hour and a half lunch in 7 hours of a scheduled day with at an additional hour of that also being a materials run is how much work you'll get from them. Everyone is nice to your face but they don't care at all and it's obvious with their actions and lies.
