Great place with a huge selection of current titles. Owner is friendly as well. Only problem I have is with the one book per issue policy. With a lot of titles coming out with multiple covers per issue this doesn't allow you to buy the different variant covers for a book. Also, there are a bunch of back issue blank covers of the same title I'd buy multiple of but am limited to one.
Very nice shop with a wide selection of comics, and even a small section for dice and role-playing games. There are tables in the back that can be used to read comic or play board games. However the bathroom is very unclean and it is a bit disorganized. Overall a very good business!
I recommend this store all the time. The owners are exceptionally knowledgeable, fun, and helpful. Anyone looking to expand their collection, causally read, or start up on a new series is highly recommended to come here. I’ve been going for the last year or so and You could not find a better group of people. Gem comics has been one of our favorite spots in elmhurst and keeps us coming back.
