Beautiful look out of Lake Michigan and the Dunes. The entire area has so many photogenic spots and great places to take pictures that even during busy times it’s easy to get a beautiful picture. Just a heads up parking is a little sparse and mind the signs warning you how long it can take to climb back up the dune if you plan on venturing down.

We didn't want to hike too much and were wondering where we could see Lake Michigan from the top of a steep dune and such a point is actually one of the overlook points along the Pierce Stocking scenic drive! We also hiked the empire bluff trail and the pyramid point trail..both were pretty easy and opened up to a spectacular view! If you have more time, I would recommend doing the Arcadia dune trail ( just south of sleeping bear) as well- it has a bit of dune walking nothing difficult or steep so it's the perfect choice if you want to experience the dunes without really hiking up steep dunes!

The overlook is so nice to sit and watch the sunset when the sun is going into the lake . Going to the bottom of the overlook is very easy but climbing up the dunes overlook is quite challenging. It is one kind of experience!!! I visited this place 3 times so far and definitely will go again

Great view of the lake. Regardless of the season you visit this place, it’s windy most of the time. Carry a light jacket as you get closer to fall season. The drive is nice. During holiday weekend, the parking lot is packed but you can always park along the side of the road as you pull up at this place.
