Helen fled an abusive relationship with her young daughter. The family came to CRC for food and received much more than that. Read more Helen “My life is completely different now.” Kasey and her three young children were homeless and living in their car for two months. The family came to CRC for assistance through our Rapid Rehousing program, which provides a deposit and short-term rental assistance. Kasey is grateful for the extra help while she heals from an injury before returning to work. Kasey and her family just moved into an apartment in Escondido. She says, “It’s amazing to have your own place. It changes everything.” Kasey Michael Williams came to CRC’s Food & Nutrition Center when he found himself homeless.  Mr. Williams was previously a member of the Marine Corps and served during the Vietnam War. Michael received food, case management and assistance through our Opening Doors program. Michael now has an apartment of his own in North Park and continues writing books about his experiences. With a limited income, he depends on CRC’s food program to make ends meet. R.J. comes weekly to “shop” in CRC’s Food & Nutrition Center, where he selects a week’s supply of healthy foods and households items like shampoo and cleaning supplies. R.J. says that without this program, “I’d be skin and bones. They give you everything you need to survive.”  Read more R.J. "We are so grateful for CRC and our case manager Chad! They should feel so good to help get two more homeless people off the street and into their own home,” said Wendy. Wendy and her disabled son found themselves homeless after the costs of caring for her son became too much and Wendy was unable to work while taking care of him. Wendy soon learned about CRC’s Encinitas Opening Doors program, providing assistance to homeless families in Encinitas. First time in this place and I loved it! Tons of fun vintage finds. It also goes to a really great cause to I didn't feel bad filling up a box. I ended up getting some really cute pie plates, an awesome Hawaiian shirt for my bf, kitchen stuff I was in need of, and some luggage. Been to a few thrift places around here and honestly it's been my fave so far :)

I like this thrift store, it's where I drop off our donated items. So easy, usually always someone to help unload in the back parking lot. Large selection of clothes, some household items as well.
