My kids are ages 10 and 12, our friends’ kids ages 9 and 12. We called Encinitas Surf Lessons late last night on a recommendation from our hotel, Surfhouse, and the owner Jason answered right away and got us set up for a noon lesson today with Daniel. I cannot say enough good things about the entire experience!! Daniel was such a fun, knowledgeable great instructor. My kids absolutely loved him. They said he was “the coolest and most fun” instructor of any lesson they’ve ever taken. He is fun, professional and very safe. He was able to teach four kids at once and individualize it for each one. We will definitely be looking him up when we come back, thank you Daniel!!!

Couldn't recommend Encinitas Surf Lessons more! I was visiting the area so called them in the morning and was surfing by mid-afternoon. They were able to quickly set up a 2-hour private lesson for me with Aaron, and within a few minutes he contacted me about where to meet and what to bring. Aaron was an excellent instructor--he was friendly and encouraging and had me off the beach and surfing in under an hour. Fantastic experience and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone interested in trying surfing.

We were referred to Encinitas Surf Lessons on a Family Vacation as my daughter that was 9 years old was interested in taking her first lesson. It was super easy to set up the lesson (private), and the instructor was easy to coordinate with on the front end. Already an amazing experience. Now, during the lesson is when it got even better. They were super kind to her, very supportive, and worked with her to not only have a great time, but really learn how to surf! After the first lesson, my daughter said that it was \The best time ever in her life\. As such, we had to set up another lesson, and it was just as great of an experience as the first one! We loved the city and we will definitely be back. We are definitely going to be using Encinitas Surf Lessons again and look forward to it!

Our surf instructor Walt was Great! Very patient and encouraging for beginners. Explained all the steps to catch a wave clearly and in a way that it made sense. I actually am still doing some of the practices and exercises a week later at home. Was able to catch the whitewash and even some regular waves pretty easily (which normally isn't the case for myself). Couldn't recommend Encinitas Surf Lessons Enough! A Service
