We visited yesterday to take some back to Pennsylvania with us. We didn't buy enough! What a wonderful, baked good deliciousness that was devoured. My mother, who is now living in assisted living,used to visited when she watched my niece and nephew for my brother who lives locally. We dropped off one of the maple walnut donuts for her as a treat today. She hasn't been allowed visitors because of coronavirus, but this sweet memory cheered her up!

I stopped here on my way home from vacation. I'm so glad that I did, and looking forward to returning. The first thing I noticed after arriving is that they have people directing traffic and directing the cars to parking spots. The parking area is a good size but because of the large number of customers shopping there making the parking lot appears to be smaller than it really is. I only went into the area where the baked goods are sold. In this area, there are cider donuts, cherry turnovers, apple streusels, pies, sweet bread, cookies, t-shirts, apple cider, cider slush, coffee, and all sorts of candy apples (blueberry, cherry, strawberry, cinnamon, caramel, lime...). I got my friend some peanut butter cookies and he loved them. I bought 9 candy apples 8 caramel and 2 cherry). I had caramel apple, and realized candy apples are different than caramel apples. This is the first time I had candy apples. I really like them, and wish the candy coating was thicker and covers the entire apple - the top part isn't always covered throughout. The apples were crunchy. The banana nut bread was good, but it wasn't as moist as I like. The cider donuts were a hit at work. The cherry turnovers were amazing!! I assumed that they were filled with a lot if cherry filling, but they weren't. They had just the perfect amount and they are so crispy and flakey when heated up in my toasted oven. I should have bought more. I love that they sell 1/2 pie and a whole pie. I also bought 1/2 peach pie. It is so delicious!! I baked a slice up in my toasted oven and eat it with the Mercer's Peach White Zinfandel wine Ice cream that I got in Rome. They paired perfectly, and I wished I got the entire pie!!! The store is so clean and spacious. There are tables that you can eat at. I will definitely stop by the next time I'm in the area.
When you walk in it smells like a magical apple bakery. The donuts are great with fresh cider.
Things were going good in the beginning of the season. The mix and match price for donuts was decent. Then, without warning, BAM, money time!!! They upped the price for specialty donuts...you can buy 6 for 10 or you can buy 12 for 15. So obviously people want the deal and Cider Mill gets more money! You can't mix and match anymore so if you are lured into the specialty donuts, then you will be lured into the increased 'regular' donuts. What a racket. Cider went up again, got some last week. Brought it home and had one watery glass then the next day it was bad. I know they don't pasteurize and they use UV, which is great, however, the cider should last more than one day off the shelf. I probably won't be back again.
Best donuts and cider! Absolutely one of the best things about fall. Only down side it they can be pricey but so worth it
I went in to get some "fun donuts", as my sister calls them. The lady waiting on me was very nice. We got a cider sample when we entered. Paying was quick and away we went. Can't wait to go back again!
The cider mill has and always had the best apple cider. I grew up going to the cider mill to watch it being made fresh a long with getting really fresh doughnuts. Both are really yummy. The staff has always be friendly.
Great cider, donuts, cookies... Pretty much everything is good. It's a little pricey, but well worth it. Really happy to see boxes this year for the donuts.
