UPDATE TO EARLIER POST BELOW: From two stars to 3 because I was contacted by Vicky Friday morning and she was apparently in a great mood! She explained that she thinks she may have sent my paperwork to the wrong email because it came back returned... While I am inclined to believe my previous review had a lot to do with it, I received the paperwork I was looking for but will save the last two stars to make sure the job is done right through and through before I get excited. I appreciate what you all do. Just hoping for a smoother transition into the city of Enfield. 1/16/20*** Every person I have had the displeasure of speaking with on the phone within the tax office in general has absolutely zero phone etiquette. I called for a Veteran’s form, as the woman Vicky called it, for taxes in the city of Enfield as my family was assigned to this area via military orders. I provided her with my email address around 12pm and called back around 4:30pm to make sure everything was okay because I still had not received anything via email. Another “kind” woman answers the phone and just says “tax assessors office” - No name given but asks who I spoke to and then yells across the room to Vicky who says she has the papers pulled out but has not gotten around to sending them yet. I wouldn’t be so irritated if 1. I did not have to listen to the first woman yell across the room and 2. I did not have to hear Vicky’s attitude about doing something she offered to do in the first place - her job. If it were that busy she could have just told me it’s best to come down there in person because here I write this review of my first encounter with the city at 8pm as I refresh my browser - and still no email. It’s a great thing I get to meet everyone in person tomorrow️ Will update.
