Daughter is taking lessons and has progressed wonderfully. I picked skis back up after 30 years and Whaleback is a great place to relearn. Is it fancy? No, but the atmosphere is fun and the trails are interesting- bonus that the lift tickets are affordable. If I had one complaint, the ski rests are built for sub 5 footers on the main chair, so if you're tall- you're dangling skis to the top. Luckily it's a fairly short ride.

Beautiful little mountain. Best deal in the area: 20 bucks for the last two hours of the day

It was my first time snowboarding ever. I practiced on the small hill, when I went on the big main hill/trail, I had some trouble but then I got hurt, so I made the smart decision to call them, after i called they immediately sent some of the first aid cred to come and get me. The aid team was so helpful, making sure i was ok, big thanks to them. Definitely would recommend going here!

Hours have changed for the worse, not to mention the fact i bought a seasons pass and the lift has been broken this whole year. They pushed the date back 3 times, and ive been offered nothing for compensation. 10 out of 10 never getting a seasons pass here again. It really is to bad this place went down hill.

Wonderful “locals” mountain. Great for families and beginners. East access from highway and affordable. Staff and patrol are fantastic.
