This is a trail more for horses than for hikers - highly not recommended unless you want to get muddy, look for snakes and look for trails that are not at all marked. We end up at the corner of HWY 6 and Patterson Rd., the hike/bike trail (which goes to Barker Cypress) starts at the light and is south of the Dog Park. - Note, there is not a clear trail from the dog park to the trail, but the google map does show one exist. The pictures of the beginning of the Equestrian Center (nice quiet area to picnic for small families)

Not a lot of visitors to Bear Creek Pioneers Park know about this recreational spot. Saw fish, turtles and birds in the creek. Dense vegetation throughout the nature trail. Follow the footpath, and you’ll stay on trail. Definitely recommend this area to anyone who is into the outdoors. Prone to flooding so make sure you hike it when it’s dry out.
Fun place for a photo shoot
Nice wooded area
Lots of shade, well maintained, wide trail. But, it WILL be flooded up to a week after any substantial rain; and muddy with lots of big puddles up to 2 weeks after rain.
Nice trail but be wear of snakes. The park should update the trail to pavement. So it's not so muddy.
