Our work is rooted in public infrastructure with a diverse range of projects in transportation including light rail, highways, ferry terminals and tunnels. From design consulting to turn-key system delivery, we provide professional services for high-impact public infrastructure projects, combining solid engineering design expertise with hands-on construction experience. Founded in 2008, Ergosynch is an SBA certified small business and a certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) in Washington, Oregon and California. Representative Clients / Projects Sound Transit, Link Light Rail, Seattle, WA: Ergosynch staff have been involved with Link Light Rail from the beginning. For the initial Central Link alignment, we provided communications and control systems design. During construction we provided construction management services until rail opening day. We also provided major design work for the communications systems and building management systems for all Link extensions including University Link, North Link, East Link and South Link. One of our significant contributions was the retrofit of the downtown tunnel where our personnel have extensive and special expertise with tunnel control systems and fire/life safety systems. We helped Sound Transit achieve final occupancy from the Seattle Fire Department. We repeated this for the Beacon Hill tunnel. We also wrote the control system user manual and provided system operational training to the Seattle Fire Department. WSDOT Project SR 525 Mukilteo Multimodal Terminal, Seattle WA: The Mukilteo Multimodal Project provides for the design and construction of a new Mukilteo ferry terminal and multi-modal transit facility connecting commuters to train and bus transit. The facility includes passenger and maintenance buildings, a supervisor’s building, transit center and new toll booths. Ergosynch performed communication and control systems design and fire detection system design including plans, specifications and estimates. Communications systems include network infrastructure, public address, visual paging, CCTV monitoring, telephones, fare collection, marine radio systems and ferry vessel wi-fi. Control systems include the building management systems, weather monitoring, and PLC control of the overhead passenger loading hydraulics. WSDOT, I‐90 Tunnels, Seattle, WA: Ergosynch is currently providing Fire & Life Safety expert services, and serving as the owners Commissioning Agent for the I-90 Two Way HOV Lane Conversion project. This project includes a SCADA system upgrade for the Mt. Baker and Mercer Island I-90 tunnels. WSDOT selected Ergosynch because of our detailed knowledge of the systems in these tunnels. Our team performed the recent PLC upgrade in the tunnels replacing 12 existing PLC’s with over 3500 I/O points and over 40,000 lines of logic. We provided all engineering services including detailed panel drawings, programming, documentation, testing and commissioning. LAMTA, Gold Line, Los Angeles, CA: Ergosynch staff lead the SCADA design for the Los Angeles Gold Line extension light rail project. Our responsibilities included design of the communication network and interfaces to traction power, signaling, fire and emergency management system, mechanical and electrical systems. Our engineers also designed the access control and intrusion detection system. SDOT, City Center Connector Streetcar Final Design, Seattle, WA: Ergosynch lead the systems design engineering services for the signaling, corrosion control and communications systems for the City Center Connector streetcar project This project will connect the existing South Lake Union and First Hill Streetcar lines with an alignment through downtown with stops in the historic Pioneer Square and Pike Place Market. This line also provides convenient access to light rail and commuter rail stations.
