I always enjoy the Safari Animal park. I was a bit sad that the Africa tram was not in service, due to the pandemic. Had a nice walk visiting the enclosures. The gorillas and elephants were very active today, had a great time watching them interact with eachother. The cheetah run was also cancelled, it was a bummer since I really enjoy seeing it. Overall it was a great visit and what I like the most is that we help this place feed those beautiful animals and continue with the wonderful research they do.

The zoo was AMAZING, the volunteers were very informative and helpful. It was huge and the animals looked very well taken care of. Bring your own food though, food there is overpriced.

Be prepared for LOTS of walking. Parking is 15. The platypus exhibit is timed so pickup timed tickets before they run out. Wish I knew that before but we live in SD and we were already planning to return. Didn't get to see a lot before this park is HUGE. I'd recommend planning ahead what you want to see. I'll do that next time. Plenty of food choices but overpriced which is expected from places like this. Overall a must-see but I still love the SD Zoo more.

Probably one of the best values in San Diego, when you buy a membership you can go to the safari park or the zoo. We go quite often just for our afternoon walks, enter the park one or two hours before they close, it's much less crowded and so much more enjoyable. Our favorite Trail is the African Loop, that wind is way too beautiful landscaping, water features, and of course fascinating animals. Last night we saw the Lions on top of the Safari vehicle, hop off and head over to their straw beds for the evening, right in front of the visitor glass.

Super fun zip line! The guides were super friendly and it was a high quality tour. He warned us before bumps, and answered any questions we had about the animals. Animals seem very well taken care of with all the space to roam and they seem very happy in general. Our guides for the caravan tour were just as great, and the private tour felt very personalized. The driver picked a very good path that he took us on, and it was amazing overall. The park is very clean, and staff are helpful all over. The volunteers are experts and go above and beyond to ensure a great experience. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a fun experience.
