I wanted to share my own experience with Essex House, and the extraordinary care that was given to my mother until the very end. Mom was in Essex House from March 2019, until she passed on December 9, 2019. Us kids, fretted about the best place to move her when things got too difficult to care for her at home. Mom made the choice easy for us by choosing Essex House herself (she said it felt like a warm home). That's exactly what it proved to be. It provided a warm setting, good food, and a staff that not only cared for Mom, but obviously showed much love and affection for her. Looking back, I don't think it is possible to have selected a better place then Essex House to help care for Mom during a most challenging time in her life. Much thanks to Ginger, and the best staff anyone could hope for. We love all of you for all you did. Sincerely Bert Engelgau

Both of my husband's parents are there. The staff couldn't be more loving and kind, making every effort to take good care of them. The facilities are kept clean and regularly maintained. What a blessing to be able to rely on them!
