I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I have been bringing my dog Bentley to Farmstead for 10 years. Bentley runs in every time, is well cared for during his stay and comes home happy! Andrew and his employees are very caring and dedicated. The facility is immaculate!

Visited with my sons school for a class trip, our guide was very good with the children and very knowledgeable about the animals and day to day routines of the farm!
I called and spoke with a man named Andrew to book an interview for my two dogs. I showed up for my 6 PM appointment and this man was absolutely nowhere to be found. I booked the appointment the day before so either he forgot to write it down or he is completely senile! After waiting about 20 minutes for him, I went into the kennel area to try to find him and I was completely horrified. There were several dogs in there all of them had little to no water. They should have water at ALL times! No excuses! One of the dogs had pooped on his blanket and another had peed. The horrible smell was so strong and overwhelming. Does no one care for these dogs? The look on their sad faces tell the whole story! This guy never showed up for the appointment we booked so I finally left BUT it was a blessing in disguise because I would have ended up leaving my dogs there because the reception area isn’t bad so I would have never known what was behind the “no admittance” sign on the kennel door! Everyone please beware! Adding my response to the owner’s response! 1) My ICloud crashed and I had to start an entirely new Google account that’s why there are no reviews as I have to start all over again. Who are they to say I have 0 credibility? 2) This is a VERY valid review! The kennel door was unlocked, lights were on and a white vehicle was parked right outside when I arrived at 6 PM. It looked like the place was open but this man was a no show! And if you had 5 dogs going home why on earth would the kennel be locked? How would people get their dogs? Sounds a little fishy to me! 3) The date I posted the review was NOT the date of my appointment so how could you reference what dogs were going home that day because you clearly had no idea when my appointment was because no one showed up for it! Stop coming up with cover up excuses for your mistakes. Complete waist of time.
Our class did a trip there in October. I had been there before three years ago with my older daughters class and it was much better but this year it was a really bad boring trip! Not much to see or do. The place is dirty and run down. The animals do not look like they are in good condition and some are skinny. Their water was dirty and looked like poo or mud was in it. The only good thing was Denise. She could see that my son was bored and not having a good time so she tried her best to make it better. Would not recommend this place to future classes anymore as the place has really gone downhill since I have been here last.
I tried this kennel one time several weeks ago over the summer because our normal place in WM was booked on the dates we needed. My dog came home very shy and scared. That lasted a full day. He also had a hot spot under his paw that was raw and needed attention but it went unnoticed. My dog is no stranger to boarding kennels and has never acted this way before when coming home in the past. It makes you wonder how he was treated. I will not use this place again.
