Great hike. Went in late September and made it only to the keyhole due to snow, ice and wind conditions on top. The route is pretty challenging in the upper sections and requires scrambling from time to time. The views are spectacular and worth the effort.

Awesome place to hike, free parking, bring good gears with you and grippy shoes it gets slippery once you get higher.

Beautiful, scenic trail to Longs Peak. Please Leave No Trace!

Hike starts out easy and fast until the Boulder field. Once there it gets slower and much more dangerous and slightly technical after the keyhole

Really great hike. It is a long uphill climb, but really nice views and great for the body and mind to get out there and do it.

A difficult, long, exposed hike...but it is a journey as is life. Slow, steady, and focused ensures a successful climb. This hike will require you to do some steep, scrambling with an interesting portion near the top of the trough. The key is to take your time and know the weather prior to approaching the summit.

I may never do it again, but it was quite the experience and well worth it. I left at 2AM and made it back early by 2PM, and that was with lots of breaks, as I followed a large group for most of the way. Route was easy to follow.

Long hike. Be prepared. Plan on spending the whole day walking the trail.
