This is our favorite restaurant in Arkansas. Everything is wonderful there. I recommend the Saurbraten.... it is so authentic. I was so sad when it did not open up in March. We are patiently waiting for it to reopen in April!

(4.5) Excellent old school German fine dinning straight out of a scene from Fast Times without the over the top waitress. I’ve dined here several times over a span of 20 years and my biggest compliment is that it has improved each time. The Bavarian Inn may be a bit of an acquired taste, especially these days. I say that because those that have never dined at an old school upscale type German restaurant may just see things as dated or even rude, I assure you it’s not, it is however classic and that makes some nervous. The menu is concise, the service impeccable thou some servers may come across as stoic. Our meal was fantastic start to finish. We all ordered from the German / Czech offerings, the American offerings are steaks and chops. We were extremely impressed with the bratwurst, the best we’ve had, and yes I spent many years up north in heavily German areas. Another surprise was the sauerkraut, all red cabbage with a smooth texture and flavor. The duck, goulash and Sauerbraten were all delicious. To finish, the German chocolate cake and coffee fit the bill perfectly. For those over 50 you’ll probably get it assuming you haven’t spent your life dinning at fast food and chain restaurants. Those younger might want to do some research, at least watch a couple of episodes of Mad Men to truly appreciate the atmosphere, service and cuisine.
Can't wait til you reopen. We will gladly drive an hour and a half to come and eat. Favorite spot!
Atmosphere, service, and food are all great. They are closed on Monday's and don't open until 5pm, they only operate from spring to the beginning of winter. We had saurkraut soup, Bavarian plate, Saurbraten, apple strudel, and German chocolate cake. My wife suggests asking for a side of their homemade Carmel sauce for the strudel. All the food was great!
Wonderful but not much on the Czech side. Mostly German. Great ambience, food and staff. Nice portions. Cool hotel adjoins although I was just passing through. Very expensive non alcoholic beer!?
Great authentic meals. We ordered the duck, chicken with a lemony sauce, and a Smokey mushroom sauce on chicken breast and a pork dish. One person ordered the carmel cheese cake to go.
Food was delicious. The weiner schnitzel, sauerbraten and salmon plates all came with plenty of food and sides. The goulash, although delicious, could have come with more food to round out the meal. The lemon creme cake and German chocolate cake were both excellent. The staff was a bit overwhelmed as there were only two waitresses working that night for all tables, but ours made up for the lack of attentiveness with a very friendly attitude. Would recommend to get away from the biker bars and Mexican restaurants that are plentiful in the town.
Food and service was absolutely fabulous.. sauerkraut soup, the duck entree oh, and the chicken Anna Marie entree
