Good for kids
A wonderful and fun drive through this Safari. A beautiful day in Texas with the sun shining and 66 degree weather I took my 97 year old mom to visit these most exotic animals. The owners were so friendly at check in. The price is worth every penny and you get a bag of feed to drop or hand feed these curious animals along the way. The funniest thing is that we were driving a Chevy Impala and I kid you not, one of their impalas came running up behind after we passed it, stood in front of our car and just looked at us then ran back. So funny. An impala chasing an Impala. Lol. Buffalo's, zebras and even a friendly camel at the end. The terrain is easy to drive and around every corner is another surprise. Never thought a buffalo would actually lick me. We were careful and dropped the feed on the ground. After spending most of the winter inside my mom was thrilled to get out. The smile on her face was worth it plus the exotic animals were fun to see. Highly recommend especially to get back out in nature which is so much needed nowadays.

Recommend going to Rocky Ridge plenty of up close animals to see here. Took about 1 hr and 30 minutes to drive it. Had couple of really good spots where animals were all around you.
We had a great time today. It was very well made and all the animals are so beautiful. The kids had a great time. It's about 2 hrs driving through. Please follow the rules so we can all enjoy this place for many years to come. We will definitely be back. Thank you for making such an awesome place to visit in this Area it was definitely much needed around here.
Had a wonderful time here. Enjoyed the animals. Just wish we would have bought more bags of feed. We had so many animals to enjoy and used up the three bags before the half way point. Great time for the family
Mom & I go for weekend trips on occasion & it almost always consists of an animal safari drive-thru. Rocky Ridge has been open 2 months & may still be getting things in order, but we loved it. The owners were so kind & personable. Most safari's give you MAYBE a cup, cup & a half of feeder pellets, but here? Here you get double or triple that. The variety of animals is great. The camel is hilarious, the Highland cattle are adorable, the mini donkeys are funny & fiesty, the list goes on. We will be going back.
This place is great! We had a lot of family fun here and the the safari took us 2 hours to complete. We did buy extra food bags and take our time though. The cost wasn't bad, I believe it was 105 for 5 people but I also bought an extra bag of feed for 5 people. The animals are fun but some are still skittish, some do allow hand feeding though. The Bison, camel, emu, and zebras aren't shy at all and will come right on in your window! This park was a lot of fun and the staff is very friendly. Even in the areas where animals aren't at, its still a nice drive. The park is open concept so some areas dont have critters hanging out. We will definately be returning later to see how it has progressed after time.
Our family loved it! We went on a spur of the moment mini road trip and I'm so glad we stopped here! Buffaloes, zebras, camels, many different kinds of deer, goats, and even turkeys! My son had so much fun interacting with all of the animals, but his favorite was petting and feeding the camel at the end! Make sure you save some food all the way to the end for it!
I can’t recommend Rocky Ridge enough!!! We visited yesterday and left with memories that will last a lifetime!!! We will be back for sure and it’s only a short drive from Forney. This will def be our go to place to bring visiting family and friends. Our kids won’t stop talking about all the hilarious animals they met! Thank you Rocky Ridge!!!
