I’ve been looking at reviews recently and saw this Brookdale had a couple reviews about not working here and I couldn’t agree more. I’ve never met anyone so rude as I did when I met the health and wellness director. I understand Joni and Mili are the bosses but HR should do more looking into how they actually do their jobs. I worked here for 2 weeks and had to leave because they were so bad. Brookdale itself isn’t bad, but Brookdale Silver Lake is because of the management staff.

I can’t share that much information about it but wouldn’t recommended this memory care facility. If you want your family member treated nice with the proper care, enough caregivers, and to be in a clean place then don’t take them here. I even visited brookdale in Monroe and that location was better then this one. The management at this one is horrible.
Absolutely would not recommend going there, taking a family member there or working there. They only have 2 staff members for 20 residents. They don’t pay the employees enough for the amount of work they do. They don’t give you a chance to explain any incident that happens if you’re working there, they just come at you with their point of view. I can’t say much about the situation but I’ll be suing.
My Dad has Vascular Dementia and my sister and I moved him into Brookdale Silver lake, thinking they would take good care of him. We were very wrong. It didn't take very long to realize that the staff is under paid, and not enough staff to take care of him. We found women's clothes belong to other residents hanging in his closet. His clothes, shoes, eye glasses, electric shaver, and other personal items would consistently go missing. His hardwood floor in his room was always sticky from urine and smelled of urine every time we visited weekly. We liked the some of the staff there, but there hands were tied because of the corporate office. It's about the bottom line with them, not the residents well being. Avoid this place, don't put your loved ones in this place. We moved our dad after 2 months, there are better places.
The financial management and billing for this facility is so bad! Even after three submittals and copies of payment they still can not get things correct! They were never able to credit funds to the account and they lost payments that were directly handed to them! For 7800 a month your loved one will live in a room smaller than a dorm room. But it’s quite funny that they can not even track those funds they collect! The help is so underpaid and over worked. The direct care givers were the only blessing!
