It is a fairly good place with large portions at a decent price but the cost/benefit isn't good enough to justify a higher rating. A standard gyro is lacking the feta, olives, and onions found at cheaper places. Since the meat for gyros basically all comes from the same place, and distribution framework, what you pay for is sauce and toppings. The sauces are good, the sides are okay, the rest of the stuff just isn't there or is a costly add-on. The falafel is great. It's just muted by a sea of iceberg and roma without some olive and onion friends.

To bring context, my only experience with gyros has been in Greece from my deployments. This is the first place in the states I have tried. The fries were good. The biggest difference was she just used grilled chicken instead of a shawarma machine (vertical spinny cookers). The difference in significant. And the sauce here was far inferior. Didn't have much taste. It doesn't seem like any of the places in the states put fries on them, that I've seen anyway, so you'll have to get a combo for an extra 4 bringing your price to double what it is overseas for an inferior product. I THINK she was nice or just indifferent I guess so it's not less than 2 stars. But at this price, it should be way better. At least use a shawarma machine. For someone in the states who surprisingly knew the correct pronunciation of gyro (I gave up and just say it GY-RO here but it's really YEAR-RO) I expected at least to get the meat right.

This place has awesome food and service. That explains the line to get in on weekend mornings.... Worth the wait tho. Wish they had their Cornbeef hash on the menu more often, best I ever had... The portions are huge and yummy. My fiance had the gyros hash, and I had the country Benedict. Really good!
