I just graduated and although it isn’t the best school the band is amazing, it’s a top notch and close knit group of amazing people. All of the arts programs are like this, they also give the same opportunities if not more for you to succeed. The biggest difference is you have to be a bit more independent and you have to take personal responsibilities for your actions at this school. I did transfer my sophomor year so I am not just sugar coating the school. :)

This school isn’t that mad it had or has a bad rep Bc of stupid ppl and dumb rumors honestly that’s every school to succeed all you have to do is care have fun and choose the right crowd and the 4 years will go faster then ever but I honestly love this school and the community is just great!! There will always be bullies or fights at every school u can’t expect to go to a place where everyone acts like the royal family not everyone was raised that way !! Choose the right crowd and you’ll be fine
Horrible school, especially for new students. Started attending last year and so far has found a needle on campus when I was helping clean up with kids with special needs, many fights, very ghetto, everyone smokes weed, lots of pregnant girls, just bad. Some teachers are okay, some are very good but some freshman teachers kinda suck.
I was a student at this school and I want to say that most of the teachers and other students I've met are great. However, \people\ who sit in the main and attendance offices are arrogant hypocrites who will control you in every way possible. Strict dress code, no cell phones and closed campus seems to be what they are mainly focused on instead of providing great education environment, support and positivity. They seriously need to reconsider their management staff. The administrator lady is the evil of them all and many people will support me here. She will psychologically pressure you for every thing whether it is just a hoodie that doesn't match schools colors or maybe you were late to class. Of course, attendance ladies are no better, it seems like they got their own group of people sitting and always chatting. They have no respect to any student. When you come up to them they will make you wait until they finish telling jokes to each other and when finally one of them decides to help you, they all stare into your soul as if you are their great enemy. Throughout all those years at that school I have never heard \Hello\ or \Have a good day\ or a simple \Thank you\ in response from those ladies in the attendance office.
been going to the school for 2 years now going on 3rd and i want to say a lot of the other reviews are incorrect. i think that is the 2 years that i have been here i think i have seen a total of 1 fight. while there is a large majority of the students who smoke, a large amount of them do not smoke AT the school. and those who do and are caught are given correct punishment. bullying dose happen at this school but where dosent it happen? your child's teacher could tell you at any school bullying is unacceptable and they dont have any bully's. but it takes only one time for someone to get bullied, then that promise is null and void. im not here to say this is the best school, i know there are better out there, but i am here to say this school is better then the reviews of people who have never been here say it is. dont just listen to \oh theirs gangs dont go here\ or \ oh yea there was a drive by shooting so its not safe\. because at the end of the day it could happen anywhere. and if your a parent who switched schools because of danger, just know it could happen anywhere. go mariner!
