I took my son here when he was two years old after he put a small pebble in his nostril. He got it stuck very far up trying to retrieve it with his finger. I chose to take him to this medical center over a regular urgent care because of Seattle Children’s high reputation, the perceived ability for a doctor to fish out the pebble with small, made-for-children tools, the convenient location, and the extended hours. The front desk at Seattle Children’s acknowledged me right away even while working with a customer. They were also thorough in explaining how I would be billed along with my insurance provider. We must have gotten lucky because we didn’t have to wait longer than 15 minutes to see a doctor. The doctor tried to “pry” the pebble out with a tiny instrument with no luck. Since my son was getting uncomfortable with the prodding, he was quick to change tactics. He inflated a small balloon past the pebble and out it came! It was all very quick. He gave my son the pebble back in a plastic container as a souvenir and was treated to a teddy bear as a reward when they didn’t have the color of popsicle he wanted. We’ll visit again if the need arrives.

My child has had a fever for 5 days straight. During that time, we’ve went to the pediatrician once and urgent care twice. Finally, tonight, we went to Children’s are I really wish we would have come sooner. The care we received tonight was top notch and I know we are now on the right path to beat this illness. Highly recommended!
Had to take my two week old in for a possible stye by his eye. First off the front desk lady’s were super friendly. They told us they would let the Dr know what was going on with my son and then they would determine the wait time or we could come back at a scheduled time. I really appreciated that, so we didn’t have to wait around not knowing what time we would get seen. We ended up being seen right away because of where his stye was located. The nurse was so sweet with my little guy. Once seen by the Dr. she recommended we go down to Seattle children’s urgent care to be seen by a specialist. I really appreciated that she did just guess what was going on she wanted to get to the bottom of the problem but not stressing my husband and I out she did a really good job of keeping us at ease. She also called ahead to let them know we were coming. I’m so thankful we found out about this location!!
Wait time was pretty long but they sent out a nurse to check on everyone. Once in, things went pretty fast. Toddler had shoved something in his nose. Very traumatic for him the way it was handled, but they got it done fast. Got stickers and all was better.
I agree this is not the place where you want to take your kids!!! The waiting time is long the professionalism is below 0! We were waiting for over two hours to see extremely rude and unprofessional provider( I am TRAINED AS MD ). DO NOT GO THERE!
If I could give a lower rating I would. We visited another urgent care and the PA on site said we needed to go to Children's right away for some xrays for my 2yo daughter. He called to let them know what needed to be done and they were supposed to be expecting us. When we arrived at 815pm, they acknowledged they were expecting us, but would not see her until 10pm. I asked why we were waiting when they were expecting us. I was told that the "communications nurse" did not communicate what needed to be done, nor did she put us on the schedule. Fast forward to 1015 and we have still not been seen. God help you if you actually need your child seen, especially at the recommendation of another doctor. Im sure the Dr's are good at their job, but getting to see one is a tale yet to be told, due to the incompetence of the office staff.
