We enjoy using our fireplace during the cold winter months. My wife and I understood that it was time for us to have it cleaned. We were looking for someone to come out and clean our fireplace. I contacted Mad Hatter after browsing through the yellow pages. The representative was courteous and helpful. I accepted the reasonable price quote she gave me over the telephone. Mad Hatter sent one of their most experienced employees to our home the next day. He was very polite and professional throughout the entire process. I am very happy with the exceptional service Mad Hatter rendered. I will not hesitate to contact them for their services in the future.

We have been making appointments with these guys ever since we bought our home in the early 90's. The man they sent was very polite and showed up right when he was supposed too. He was quick and didn't leave a single speck of dirt on our floors. My wife and I won't go anywhere else. We are never pressured into buying anything (like a chimney cap). They have also done some much needed repairs for us over the years, and given us the best price around. I recommend this company 150%.
Why can't we rate as a zero?! Two times these guys have been no shows. First time I had to reschedule appointments at work to be home for their 1 hour arrival window. 90 minutes after not arriving I called. The business phone number is actually a cell phone with a persistently full voice mail. So I texted. The owner finally called back, sounding drunk and dumbfounded. He asked if I really had an appointment. I replied, um, yeah, you should probably check your appointment book, so he did. Well, gee whiz I did have an appointment at the time I said I did. Was I sure the guy didn't show up. Yeah. I'm sure. So we reschedule for the following Saturday. Again, I'm here waiting with no call and no chimney sweep. So I call again. Voice mail full again. I text again. 30 minutes later still no reply. Save yourself the time and go somewhere else. Their slightly cheaper prices don't make up for the time you waste.
Every holiday season, I look forward to my entire family curled up around the fire. Sons, daughters, grandchildren, all snuggled up in flannel pajamas, enjoying the glow of the warm embers. When my husband told me we need to replace the chimney liner I was mortified. I pictured the chimney crumbling down, dust and debris filling up the living room, and not single family member curling up to the fire. Fortunately, we found Mad Hatter to replace the chimney liner with little fuss. The service they provided was first-rate. The service man arrived promptly as scheduled and did the job well. My worries of a debris-scattered living room quickly absolved when I noticed what care and professionalism he used in keeping the work area clean. The work was finished as scheduled and the cost was reasonable and exactly as quoted.
