Elwha Tour with Lindsey (husband of Carolyn) was a ever forget\ experience! Our family vacation for 8 (including some extended family) was going to be in the Olympic Peninsula area for approximately a week in mid August and desired some \expert\ information about the Elwha River restoration after its 2 dams were removed as of 2014. We were very excited to book Carolyn for a mid August tour of Elwha and Salt Creek tide pools (tour includes viewing Madison Falls too). Unfortunately Carolyn sprained her right ankle a couple of weeks before our trip. Carolyn contacted me and her husband (Lindsey) offered to guide for us. We gladly accepted, especially after Carolyn noted her husband's background of growing up in Port Angeles, being a scientist, teacher, and expert guide for the area of a tour. My family went on the tour with Lindsey and had a ever to forget\ wonderful experience. Our family enjoyed Lindsey's guide service to the fullest. His knowledge of so many things (science, history, city/county government policy, etc) seems unparalleled. Lindsay explains thing so well, was very interesting, and our youngsters loved him! After I experienced the wonderful knowledge shared by Carolyn when booking and by Lindsey during our tour, I believe both of them are valuable treasures to the residents and vacationers in the Olympic Peninsula due to their love of nature and of sharing their knowledge. I would give more than 5 star rating if it were possible. We will never forget our experience with the guided tour that Lindsey expertly provided which exceeded our already high expectations. Keep up the great work Carolyn and Lindsey!
Went the visitors center and did the trail there very beautiful and relaxing stroll , center was busy but this trail slow and easy walk, calming, starting point to the peninsula interior heart. Go there if you can,see it all.
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time spending the day with Carolyn. We were able to customize our tour to see specifically what we wanted. Carolyn was extremely friendly, personable and educated on the park. It was also a plus being able to use her tour gear such as binoculars, spotting scope, and water proof camera while on the tour. We were able to learn a lot of new things about the wild life in the park. If you are looking for a unique Olympic National Park experience then we highly recommend this tour.
Carolyn is a fantastic guide! Her experience and knowledge base made it easy to understand what we were surrounded with in Olympic National Park. She was very attentive to our hiking ability and needs, ensuring we had breaks at the right time. Carolyn is intimately familiar with Olympic National Park, and she shared her knowledge every time she could. Carolyn made our hike at Hurricane Ridge, up the Switchback trail to Victor Pass and further along Klahhane Ridge towards Lake Angeles, a memorable family day. We are looking forward to our next trip to Olympic National Park, which will include a day with Carolyn for sure!!!
