Much like my other ESA review for the location near the Memphis airport, this location is tired and needs a healthy dose of maintenance. Upon arrival on Saturday afternoon, I identified a couple of small issues that needed attention by maintenance. The toilet seat only had one bolt so keeping in it one place while sitting on the toilet was challenging. The other issue was the lock/hasp that secures your door from anyone entering was shorn off leaving just the hinge on the door frame. I have NO idea how this happened, but it needed replacing. I was told I'd have to wait until Monday which, I guess, is ok. Don't know why I have to pay full price without full use of the room, but whatever. I went past the front desk on Sunday and the woman staffing it assured me that my issues were on the docket to be fixed. Went by on Monday morning and the same message was conveyed. It wasn't until I went down on Tuesday to see what the delay was that they finally gave attention to my issues with the room. The maintenance guy was pleasant and the repairs were done adequately. The other issue I had that I didn't report until I left was that there was a FUNK when you first walked in the room. I couldn't place it; my guess was old cigar or incense, but definitely not the usual smell of cigarettes or the sweet smell of weed. I'd smell that weed smell regularly walking through the common hallways - again, in a non-smoking hotel!! The entire place could use an upgrade and more frequent garbage collection as you'll see in the attached pictures. Carpets are stained, refrigerator is dirty, furniture is in disrepair and the garbage piles up quickly in the stairways.

From the moment I walked through the door, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and very attentive. My room was clean and nice sized! The manager, Bianca, had no problem giving me extra blankets and pillows even though the room was already stocked with them (I’m anemic). Parking was convenient! Overall, my stay was extremely pleasant/relaxing. This will always be my go-to location when I’m in Memphis!

Clean, spacious room, Friendly staff, and the price was affordable. I stayed at this hotel a few times for work and I never had any issues. My room was clean, plenty of free parking and the staff made me feel welcomed every time I enter the lobby. The Walmart across the street makes Grocery shopping quick and straightforward, and there's plenty of restaurants nearby. I recommend this hotel.

Do not stay here if you are not a local with instate plates. This location seems to be targeted frequently with vehicle break-ins looking for big ticket items in car from out of town visitors specifically. Memphis Police advised me to pack up & leave which I promptly did. Within the first week there were gunshots outside & hotel needs major updating. Managment refunded my prepaid bill but this place is not recommended until they supply night-time security to protect your vehicle. Its not worth saving money staying here. It's the least expensive ESA in the area for a reason.
