This was the first time dog sledding for both my partner and I and we both really enjoyed the ride. Eleanor was truly spectacular- ready with fun dog sledding information, quick with answers to any question you might have, and full of great Alaska sightseeing recommendations. Her dogs were equally awesome, with all of their own fun quirks and personalities. We opted for the 30 minute ride, but I think a longer ride would've been a blast too. If you're looking for an exciting yet wholesome experience, look no further.

Our family's experience here was simply amazing! Our dog sled ride was definitely a highlight that left us with memories for a lifetime. Eleanor was super accommodating for our family group of six and just a pleasure to work with. Eleanor's dogs are very friendly and just love to run. I highly recommend Eleanor's Just Short of Magic for a magical dog sled experience. You won't be disappointed!

We stayed in the Yurt and had a 7 mile dog sled with Eleanor. It was an amazing stay and Eleanor was incredibly helpful and made us feel very much at home - even as two city kids who were absolutely useless. She's incredibly great at guiding and extremely knowledgeable about the local area & typical travelers needs. In terms of the dog sled ride, she's a complete pro. Her dogs are trained incredibly well and they are all super cute and friendly. My favorite moments were playing with the dogs, meeting and learning their names. Sweet pups and a great team. Definitely recommended for any trip to Alaska in the winter - you must stop here!
