I was not able to receive services from this practice due to the type of insurance I have, but I give it 5 stars and if I could I would give 10. I called and was greeted by Yolanda, lovely front desk lady. She was very compassionate and understanding of my situation. She gave me lots of useful information and even provided me a list of other Mental health providers. She was very knowledgeable and professional. If this practice is doing anything right, is hiring staff who truly are passionate when it comes to client care. Well done!

Two of my kids (both adolescents) have been treated by the excellent therapists in this practice with very good outcomes. They have also both undergone a series of tests with diagnoses that have allowed them to get the necessary accommodations in school that has fostered a much greater degree of succcess. Jon has been extremely supportive and accommodating in securing treatment for the kids both within and outside the practice. It is a bonus that this practice accepts so many insurance plans, making the therapy affordable. I highly recommend this practice.

I highly recommend Fairfax Mental Health & Wellness. Dr. Shore & PMHNP-BC Piccicacco are amazing and so helpful. Recently met a new practitioner, DNP Doran at this site. These guys are good at what they do and care.

I am one of those people who rarely writes reviews but my recent experience with Dr.Shore at this place has motivated me to do so. My child had testing and I will admit she is a complicated case. I was mailed the results. The testing seemed completely inaccurate for my child. I called and had the most upsetting call with Dr. Shore. I questioned it and she first accused me of asking her to be \unethical and falsify\ results which I was absolutely NOT asking her. What I was asking was for them to do their job more thoroughly which she explained they did not have time for. I was not rude, or mean to her personally but she proceeded to make multiple snarky and rude comments to me. Here I am, a mom with a child who struggles with issues who you would think would be treated with compassion but as soon as I questioned her she basically was rigid, rude and completely unable to have any validation, comprehension or calmness. She told me multiple times that they are not therapists (which I never thought they were not sure why she kept saying that) and I am certainly glad she is NOT a therapist because she would not make a good one. I will admit I chose this place because they took and would charge my insurance for part of it versus my daughter's school and other private places that are completely out of pocket. Biggest mistake ever, I should have paid for a place that could handle a more complicated case such as my daughter. Please know that if you take your child here they do not go the extra mile and will not treat you Kindly if you question them at all and certainly from Dr. Shore do not expect compassion or understanding in the slightest. I am extremely dissapointed,
