Stay away from this office!!! I was on my way to see this doctor for a 10:15 appointment, at 9:50 I received a call from a very rude front office staff in his office asking why I’m late and was told that he will not see me because I am not there 30 minutes before. I explained that I am on my way but was told the doctor refused to see me period and hang up on me. I called back and again they hang up on me. I arrived to the office at 10:05 which is still 10 minutes early for my appointment. The waiting room is quite empty. No patient in the office but he refused to see me. I asked to make sure that there won’t be any charge as a no show, but she told me that they can’t help me with that since It’s my fault and threatened to call a police if I don’t leave the premises. I have seen so many doctors in my lifetime and never experienced anything like this.

I’m one week out from robotic colon resection for diverticulosis and I feel amazing! Dr Stern is an excellent surgeon and the ERAS protocol he uses is too. I had no nausea from anesthesia, no pain (only taking Tylenol), no opiates and I was walking within hours after surgery. I can’t recommend him and the surgical Team at INOVA Alexandria enough!

Dr. Lawrence E. Stern is a saint! He was kind and calm. He listened attentively and answered all questions. Knew exactly what the issue was and corrected it before promptly with the absolute minimum discomfort possible. He made this uncomfortable situation easy and quick. Cannot say enough good things about him.
