Learning you have breast cancer is horribly scary, but nothing set my mind at ease more then my initial visit with Dr. Akbari. She was warm and understanding of the emotional state I was in at that time. She reviewed all the pathology reports, examined me, and patiently and clearly explained my cancer to me. She laid out a detailed plan of action that to this date is a work in progress. I am so very grateful!

I thank God that one of my dearest friends recommended Dr. Akbari and the VA Cancer Specialists to me when I was diagnosed with DCIS. From my first visit I knew I was in the best hands possible.
