Why is there no zero star option here? The ambivalence of the people who work for this place reflects the amount of concern and help that is provided upon calling. Shame on the government for not providing US citizens with quality answers to queries concerning life decisions for the applicant. The employees are robotic and trained to provide general employee manual answers. Not helpful or informative to be a government establishment funded by taxpayers. I will leave it at that and not expect any change. Zero Star.

I will be dead before I hear back about my appeal. I worked for 30 years. I lived with manic depression for most of my life. 4 of my siblings all received Disability because of the same affliction. I also have been diagnosed with colon cancer and have been through chemotherapy. Hospitalized many times throughout. I tried working again but failed miserable. In the last month I have been diagnosed with RA. I have lost hope.

The system in Columbus is crooks December 3rd I called and talked to a lady about my appointment of December 4th and told her I wouldn't be able to make the appointment hearing and she called me back and left a voicemail on my call she made it a phone call appointment instead and I would get the call at 9:00 the morning of December 4th I waited on the call and never received it and they decided to let the appeal council of Virginia to take over and they said I wasn't no longer disabled I have papers to prove that i am. They show i have type 2 diabetes and a benign pituitary gland tumor on my brain and my back of my lumbar is messed up and they cut my disability and ssi off do not never trust the Government they can do the same thing to you and mess your life up.All they care about is their onselfes. If the hearing office reads this my name is WILLIAM RUSSELL MARTIN JR. YOU WILL KNOW WHO I AM LOOK ME UP.

Did not visit office but I did call. This Social Security Office is not a general type SS office where you talk with counselor about your benefits or get a SS Card replaced. This office is for Social Security Appeals only. A person would only come to this office after Social Security has been denied, the person files an appeal, and is directed to come to this office in the Appeals process. This office is very pleasant, but when it comes to judges signing off on your case it is very slow and you have to wait longer because they are so backed up. But that is more money coming to us for back pay.
