Dwight and his crew did good work in a challenging situation. Packing up and moving from a long time family home made for an emotional day for our family, and Dwight's entire team was sensitive to the situation, tactful, respectful, and responsive when our family had our emotional moments and conflicts, all while staying focused on getting the work done in a timely manner. Family Movers really is a \family values\ oriented business, and their attention to our own family's struggles that day was really appreciated. As a business man I have nothing but praise for the way Dwight handled the planning and money side of this move. He was responsive to phone calls and texts in the weeks leading up to the move date, and he was upfront about anticipated challenges and additional costs as they arose. There were no surprise charges or unexpected additional costs. I felt the overall price was more than fair for the services supplied and quality of work. Dwight's crew took an overstuffed, cluttered, disorganized four bedroom farm house, packed it all up safely, loaded it onto moving vans, AND cleaned the entire home in 12 hours. We drove the vans to our new home ourselves, and nothing was broken or damaged when we arrived at our destination. We were able to unload everything without any problems, and we were able to find everything (including small parts and hardware to reassemble furniture). I would hire Dwight for future moves in a heart beat. Prices were fair, work was good, and Dwight's an old school \shake on it and I give you my word\ kind of professional. His people skills are just an added bonus.

Family movers not only helped with our packing and moving needs but gave us moral support in dealing with the stresses that accompany moving. They were extremely informative about the whole moving process and what to expect. The owners and moving men were very professional, timely and careful. They were willing to work with us as we had many belongings and boxes going to a local storage unit as well as our new home. They called a few days ahead to confirm times and dates and to take another look at everything there was to move and take into consideration any changes we may had made. This is to highly recommend Family Movers of Vermont. Due to my circumstances I had to move my possession in three steps, two of them by FMoV and I couldn't be more satisfied in every sense. From the beginning they were on top of communications which for many other companies today is a lost art and is something that can cause stress. Instead, scheduling, estimates and responding to my concerns were all dealt with in a timely manner. Both moves were complex in that in addition to being out of state each had three separate pick-ups which was co-ordinated efficiently and on time with all parties concerned. My possessions were handled carefully and with respect and while they are temporarily in a storage unit awaiting my final move, they were organized according to category and with great care! The pricing was very fair and even the initial estimates, in spite of the complexity of the moves was very close. All my friends at the other end of the move spoke highly of the Carl & Dwight and would use them for their own moves in the future! Needless to say, when I finally move into my home, I will call on Family Movers of Vermont. They truly made what could have been a stressful event into a smooth & easy transition.

Dwight and his crew moved the contents of a 6 room house, basement, and garage during a stressful situation that demanded immediate action. Dwight took the job on short notice after doing a thorough walk-through to assess what was needed, rearranged his schedule to accommodate us, and even helped relieve some of my stress by finding a large enough storage unit when I could find none available locally. The team worked quickly and energetically, handling difficult pieces like a heavy hide-a-bed sofa up narrow cellar stairs, a huge flat screen TV, and lots of big pieces that needed to be brought to storage and to the recycling center. They went above and beyond to do all they could to resolve the situation in a timely, efficient, and compassionate manner--truly living up to their name as Family Movers! Thank you!
